This was announced at a video selector meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on measures to reduce poverty in neighborhoods and bring the system of working with poor families to a new level.

The President announced that conditions will be created for every poor family, especially women, to have at least one person with a higher education. In this:

- if the mastering rate of university, college and technical school students is at least 80 percent, they will be given an interest-free educational loan for the next academic year;

- an additional grant will be allocated to children from poor families who have scored 80% of points sufficient for a grant when entering a university, college or technical school.

In addition, each of the financially independent universities announces a grant of at least 1 billion soums per year.

From these grants, 20% to 80% of the contract of the children of poor families will be covered, depending on their mastery of subjects.
